I have a confession to make. Photoshop does have a mind of its own, however. For example, I found the Clone Stamp tool useful for getting around objects in a photo that you need to make sure to get rid of, and was not able to perform any Photoshop featuers at all on a RAW image. Other, newer Photoshop features, such as the Grid and Smart Objects are there, but I could not get them to work without running into problems. That is what happens when you “share” (or clone) your stack with a cloning tool, when some core functionality is not yet working correctly. As reported earlier, Photoshop CC is buggy, but it seems that Adobe has been able to build it around the current version of Photoshop, at least for now.
The built-in eyedropper tool shows you what colors Photoshop has in the colors palette. You’ll often find the eyedropper tool a great starting point for your color theory study, unless you have specific color theory questions to ask about. You can use the eyedropper tool to analyze how colors contribute to the appearance of a particular image. Once you learn how certain colors affect an image, you can use those suggestions to come up with a new color scheme for your next piece of art.
What It Does: The Basic Eraser functions a lot like the brush tool. You can change the size and hardness of the eraser tip to achieve a variety of effects, like blending and fades. The Background Eraser uses differences in color to help you erase unwanted background areas from your images.
Application Tips: Rotate, skew, mirror, distort, straighten, or resize any image, then group your edits together to create a new image. What makes this so great is the lack of a shortcut key to activate the feature. It is not the fastest or most efficient tool for a fastidious newbie, but the capabilities are robust enough that it is suitable for anyone with basic photo editing needs.

With the Magnetic Lasso tool, you can move from a freehand drawing into a hard-edged selection that exactly matches drawn shapes and edges.
